Plum torte

    Variation A (amalgamation of original and Kenji's version)

    Ingredients

    1. 90g to 120g sugar
    2. 113g butter
    3. 125 flour
    4. 5g baking powder
    5. Optional pinch of salt
    6. 2 eggs
    7. 24 halves pitted purple plums
    8. Sugar, lemon juice
    9. Optional cinnamon
    10. Optional Vanilla extract/vanilla sugar

    Recipe

    1. Heat oven to 178C (350F).
    2. Mix the sugar and butter in a food processor.
    3. Add flour, baking powder, salt and eggs to the mix.
    4. Spoon the batter into a cast iron pan.
    5. Place the plum halves skin side down on top of the batter.
    6. Sprinkle sugar and lemon juice.
    7. Optional Sprinkle with about 4g of cinnamon.
    8. Bake 50 minutes, approximately. Check with a cake tester.

    Variation B

    Use Apple instead of Plum.
